The Harari regional State is established under the federal Constitution of Ethiopia
Which is adapted in 1995. the Constitution lists nine regional States as members of the federation. The Harari Region is one of these nine regions having its own legislative, executive and judicial intuitions.

We envision a future whereby the Harari Regional Council is recognized as an outstanding legislature in Ethiopia by independent exercise of legislative powers so as to preserve and promote peace, tolerance, democracy and sustainable development in the region.
